Knowledge may be abstruse but you never really spot learning. Every day you learn soemthing new and the monster is saying that once he obtained some knowledge, the feeling of it remained on his brain like a fungus to a rock. Basically, knowledge mesmerized the monster and he never wanted to stop learning. Because "the cottagers" engendered him to knowledge (even though they did not realize it) he would be grateful and try to continue his learnign even after they were gone. he had an urge.

The nature quote, spoken by Franklenstien's monster, is abstruse to those who read over it.When you actual pause and put this into modren terms you become more cognizant to what he is saying. The monster is basially saying that knowledge itself is incredible. When we learn something intresting its forever with us, we jsut have to think ahrder if we dont practice it in awhile, to rember it as we grow older in age. Scientist have proven this to be true and now the monster is well aware of that the new language he has leanrned is forever with him as long as he practices it. The metaphore he uses has an efficacy, because it gets the point across.

I agree with the monster's quote. If I keep up on something ill rember it. If i get older I can still recall some of wht i have learned in the past ,whether it be math formulas or historical events. As long as i think really hard or someone says it, I rember that i knew that ...it just took someon to say it and i recalled that i did indeed at once in my lfehear that fact.
So i agree wih the monster.

and this quote is VERY true!

The quote that the monster says "Of what a strange nature is knowledge! It clings to the mind when it has seized on it like a lichen on the rock" is saying that much of the knowledge that you will aquire in your life is abtruse. The monster wants to become more cognizant because he likes that you can keep gaining knowledge your whole life and if you study all of the knowledge you gain throughout your lifetime that it will stick with you better. He knows that he has the efficacy to gain all of the knowledge that he wants, and that his brain, is the cynosure of knowledge like the rock is to a lichen.

Knowlege mesmerizes you. Once you learn it, it's extremely hard to actually forget it. It is what gives people efficacy, since if you forget what you learned, than you would have to spend more time relearning and less time actually doing. The human mind is very abstruse in this way.

when the monster says this quote he is obviosly talking about knowlage. knowlage can be absruse but the monster likes that fact becuase he likes to learn about new things and keep his brain cognizant. knowlage can be a ethereal thing. the monster is in for any learning because he thinks it is so fasinating how it works..

"Of what a strange nature is knowledge! It clings to the mind when it has seized on it like a lichen on the rock" Sometimes knowledge can be abstruse but once you overcome that you can be cognizant. I think that this quote means that the monster is saying that as soon as he got knowledge he kept wanting to get it.He thinks that knowledge is ashtonishing. He is saying that knowledge clings to the mind once it is obtained. The monster may want knowledge so he can be decorous and fit in better. He no longer wanted to be ghoulish. He also wanted to have efficacy so he could get better reactions from people.

"Of what a strange nature is knowledge! It clings to the mind when it has seized on it like a lichen on the rock." At first, this quote was abstuse to me. This quote is a simile that is comparing knowledge and the mind to lichen and a rock. I agree with this quote because when I want to learn about something specific, I will try to learn about it. After becoming cognizant information I will hardly ever forget it. According to this quote, I think knowledge is of a "strange nature" because you choose what you do and do not want to remember. The more desiccated a piece of information is, the easier it is to forget it.

I believe the monster is trying to say is that once he has learned something new it sticks to his mind just as a lichen would stick to a rock. He also believes that knowledge is very abstruse. He is incongruous with his fellow cottagers but he still mesmerized of the good feelings and virtues that the show. the monster likes to learn new things and would like to continue to learn new thing as the average human does.
